What's included
This is a three to one driving experience - three drivers taking in turns, with an experienced fire fighter instructor on hand to help you enjoy your experience. It's always quite surprising how big these amazing vehicles are when you get up close! You will manoeuvre either a 13 ton Dennis RS or Scania 82m Fire appliance around a specially laid out course including top gear main roads, roundabouts, T- junctions, slaloms, garages etc. To make things as realistic as possible the vehicle will be carrying a full equipment load and carrying 2 tonnes of water, plenty to go at with the hose! and maybe put out a fire!
Instructor ratio; 3 to 1
Time at experience; 2 hours 30 minutes
Time in vehicle; 2 hours
Drive time; 40 minutes
Time at venue; 3 hours
The course ends with the presentation of a certificate of attendance and instructor feedback.
Suitable for youngsters with no driving experience as well as youngsters who can already drive.
Availability;
This activity is run on selected Saturdays throughout the year, with various start times both morning and afternoon.
Spectator Information;
Guests are welcome and we encourage specators to get as close to the action as safely possible, however we do ask that all guests are prebooked. Refreshments (tea/coffee/hot chocolate) will be available on arrival free of charge for yourself and 2 guests.
Please Note; Vouchers can be transferred and validity extended subject to an administration fee.

Voucher
Each voucher entitles
one person
to participate in this experience. The voucher is transferable, which means that
anyone can use it. The voucher remains valid for bookings for 9 months from the date of purchase. Please contact
the operator using the details printed on your voucher to arrange a date for your event.
Special Conditions
You must be fit and able bodied and will need to be between 11 and 16, a minimum of 152cms (4 ft 6”), maximum of 198cms (6 ft 6”) to take part in this course. If you are not 100% able bodied but feel you could drive this vehicle safely then please call us to check if this is possible. Please remember that under 18's need parental consent on the day.
